New Year, New Tile: Shop the Tile Trends of 2025

New Year, New Tile: Shop the Tile Trends of 2025

We introduced the top tile trends of 2025 in our last blog post, and today, we’re zeroing in on ten tiles that align with this year’s trends. Explore our curated tile options for your next trendy home renovation project below, and scroll to the bottom of this post for an exclusive discount code!

Trend #1: Tile with Texture

As we discussed in our last post, textured tile is the biggest trend this year by far (and it’s been trending for a while now!). This ceramic wall tile from the Ridge collection fits the bill perfectly with its grooved surface and matte finish. Its touchable texture creates an interplay of light and shadow that adds a sense of sophistication to any space, and the simple color scheme makes it easy to fit into any color palette.

Why should you choose textured tile over smooth tile? One upside is that dust, dirt, and damage are less visible on textured tile, as they tend to blend in with its irregular surface. Textured tile also tends to be warmer and more comfortable underfoot (although the tile pictured here is intended for wall applications).

Slippery areas like kitchens and bathrooms can often benefit from textured floor tile, as it adds traction and can decrease the risk of slips and falls. Not to mention the fact that texture contributes lots of visual interest to the space. It’s a great way to add a fun design element to a smaller room where you don’t have the space for other forms of decor. It also makes for a truly eye-catching feature wall!

Trend #2: Stone Drenching and Color Drenching

Cielo Beige 12x24 Porcelain Tile

Shop the Stone Drenching Trend: Cielo Beige 12x24 Porcelain Tile

Stone drenching and color drenching are gaining popularity this year. Here, we’ve selected a Cielo Beige porcelain tile that was inspired by the Italian seaside. Its soft, sun-washed hues are ideal not just for color drenching, but also for the warm earth tones that we’re seeing everywhere these days. This tile measures 12” by 24”, qualifying it as a large-format tile, which is yet another trend this year.

We love the relaxed ambience this tile creates, and it can be used on both walls and floors for maximum versatility. While this tile is porcelain, it imitates the look of natural stone, adding to its elegance. Opting for porcelain rather than natural stone is more budget-friendly and lower-maintenance. Plus, it’s resistant to water and has excellent durability.

Trend #3: Vintage Black and White Tile

Simple Black and White Flower Hexagon Ceramic Mosaic

Vintage-inspired black and white tiles are currently all the rage. We primarily discussed the traditional black and white checkerboard tiles in our last blog post, but we also love this classic floral hexagon pattern from the Simple collection. The Simple collection aims to add an upbeat, dynamic flair to any space, and it can be used on both walls and floors.

Black and white tile is highly versatile, and it works beautifully as a backdrop for other colors. It adds depth to interior design while imparting a glamorous, sophisticated vibe. It’s also easy to find and comes in numerous patterns–what’s not to love?

Trend #4: Earth Tones with Warmth

Verdure Terra 3x6 Ceramic Tile

Shop the Warm Earth Tones Trend: Verdure Terra 3x6 Ceramic Tile

Warm earth tones are inviting, comfortable, and reassuring. According to color psychology, earth tones promote a sense of groundedness, potentially leading to enhanced problem-solving and decision-making skills. While they often fall into the neutral colors category, they have more personality than cool-toned whites and grays, which we’ve seen quite a bit of in years gone by.

This Terra tile from the Verdure collection is a cozy shade of brown that offers a fresh and modern feel to your space. It’s meant for use on walls and would make a gorgeous backsplash or feature wall, as seen here.

Trend #5: Mosaic Tile

Amiens Coastal 11⅜x13¾ Glass Tile

Shop the Mosaic Tile Trend: Amiens Coastal 11⅜x13¾ Glass Tile

We’ve mentioned that 2025’s tile trends center around personality, and it’s hard to think of a type of tile that has more personality than a bold mosaic! We’re loving the glass mosaics from the Amiens collection, which are made from recycled glass and inspired by the historic city of Amiens in France.

This Coastal mosaic was molded under extreme heat and pressure for a finished product that resists discoloration and fading. It features a mix of white and blue to emulate the seashore, as well as a matte finish for a subtle, refined appearance.

Not only can this glass tile be used on both walls and floors, but it’s even suitable for outdoor use! It’s an excellent option for pools, backsplashes, showers, floors, and walls.

Trend #6: Slim Tile in Geometric Shapes

Venice Gris Picket 2x10 Ceramic Tile

Shop the Slim Geometric Tile Trend: Venice Gris Picket 2x10 Ceramic Tile

Slim subway tile, herringbone tile, chevron tile, and picket tile are all amazing options if you want to follow this trend. We’ve chosen this lovely elongated hexagon tile from the Venice collection, which is made up of tile in geometric shapes and contemporary colors.

This ceramic picket tile is suitable for wall applications and looks especially striking as a kitchen backsplash. It’s available in both matte and glossy finishes, and you can alternate matte and glossy tiles for an even more eye-catching result.

Geometric tile, in general, creates incredible visual interest, and it’s very satisfying to look at due to the mathematical principles it embodies. Picket tile, in particular, can be laid vertically (as seen above) or horizontally for two different looks.

Trend #7: Tile with Bold Patterns

Malaga Catalonia 8x8 Porcelain Tile

Shop the Bold Patterns Trend: Malaga Catalonia 8x8 Porcelain Tile

Tile with bold patterns is ready to take center stage in 2025. The Catalonia tile seen here is the perfect complement to the otherwise plain kitchen space. By keeping the rest of the design choices neutral, the bold pattern of the flooring really has a chance to shine without being overpowering.

If you like this tile, check out the rest of the Malaga collection. The porcelain tiles in the collection can be used on both floors and walls, and they all feature bold, contrasting patterns that are sure to add plenty of personality to your space.

Trend #8: Tile with a Natural Look

Powell Ell Oak 7x48 Glue-Down Luxury Vinyl Plank

Shop the Natural-Look Tile Trend: Powell Ell Oak 7x48 Glue-Down Luxury Vinyl Plank

Natural-looking flooring is trending! But if hardwood and natural stone don’t suit your budget, wood-look vinyl and marble-look porcelain tile are fantastic alternatives. You can get the look of natural materials at a lower price, and vinyl and porcelain are also durable and low-maintenance. There’s no need to regularly seal them, and they’re simple to clean and maintain.

For this trend, we’ve chosen the Powell Ell Oak luxury vinyl planks. These planks measure 7” by 48” and are designed to elevate your space. They’re waterproof, stain- and scratch-resistant, and easy to install. In addition, they’re suitable for flooring in both residential and commercial settings and are built to withstand plenty of wear and tear, making them great choices for high-traffic areas.

Trend #9: Tile in Pastel Colors

Creston Sage Green 3x12 Bright Ceramic Tile

Shop the Pastel Shades Trend: Creston Sage Green 3x12 Bright Ceramic Tile

Tile in pastel colors is experiencing a resurgence this year, and we love the soft shade of this Creston Sage Green ceramic tile. Not only does this tile match the pastel trend, but it’s also textured, adding tons of visual interest to the space. Simple and understated yet elegant, this tile is a wonderful choice for bathroom walls, kitchen backsplashes, or an accent wall.

According to color psychology, the color green is associated with nature, health, and growth. It’s a soothing, relaxing color that can enhance focus and impulse control. Pale green specifically is associated with peace, so you might choose this color of tile for areas of your home where you’d like to promote calmness and relaxation.

Trend #10: Large-Format Tile

Eterna Athea Heather 48x48 Polished Porcelain Tile

Shop the Large-Format Tile Trend: Eterna Athea Heather 48x48 Polished Porcelain Tile

Finally, we’re loving large-format tile this year, and it’s easy to embrace the color drenching/stone drenching trend with large tiles like those seen here from the Eterna collection. This collection aspires to embody the harmony of modern durability and timeless elegance.

Although made of porcelain, the tiles seen here feature exquisite veining to mimic the look of marble. These tiles are suitable for use on both walls and floors, as well as both residential and commercial applications.

Large-format tile has been trending for several years now, and although it can be challenging to transport and install, it comes with many benefits. From its clean, modern aesthetic with minimal grout lines to its ability to visually expand small spaces, it’s not too surprising that large-format tile continues to gain popularity.
