Marble and stone border tile—pencil liners, chair rails, listellos and mosaic borders—in Carrara White, Calacatta Gold, Thassos, Bianco Dolomite, Nero Marquina and mixed-stone patterns. Borders frame a shower wall, finish the top edge of wainscoting, break up a large field of tile or run as an accent band through a backsplash. Most pieces are 12 inches long and come in polished or honed finishes to match our field tile.

How do I match a border to my field tile?
Stay within the same stone and finish: a polished Carrara pencil with polished Carrara field tile. Each border lists its stone and finish; order a sample of both to compare in your light.
How are border tiles sold?
By the piece, usually 12 inches long. Measure your run in inches, divide by 12 and add one or two pieces for cuts and mitered corners.
Do stone borders need sealing?
Yes. Natural stone is porous, so seal it after installation and re-seal every 1–2 years in wet areas. Use a non-acidic cleaner; vinegar and bleach etch marble.
Can I use a marble border in a shower?
Yes. Polished and honed marble borders are used in showers every day; seal them and use a neutral cleaner.
